Palladium, Privacy, Security and Spam

From Paul Martin, "In the O'Reilly network, John Udell has an interesting article. Starting with a critique of the Intel/Microsoft Palladium initiative, he discusses alternative methods to certify identities and defeat spam. The article is focused on the Windows platform, but the points he makes would apply, in principle, to the Mac as well. The link to the Salon article is interesting as well; the author there asserts that we have a choice between a truly useful computer and internet on the one hand, and digital rights management on the other."
