Tip--Character Pallette in Mac OS X 10.2

"I don't take credit for this tip...saw it on a forum...but it's quite handy. Go to:

System Preferences --> International --> Input Menu--> click (check) Character Palette

An additional pull-down menu called "Show Character Palette" will be presented in the menu bar for all apps. If you select the view "All" and cycle through the various tabs, you'll see every character available (including Unicode) for each font loaded on your computer and can "Insert" the highlighted character into any text field.

Useful if you want to use something like umlauts (Ü) or the registered trademark symbol (®) or copyright symbol (©) in something you are writing.

Click on the down arrow (in Show Character Palette) to select the font menu."
