Extremely Long TechTool Pro 4.0.1 Startups from CD are Normal

according to this response from Micromat's technical support to Dana Baggett, our NE Editor:

Dana,

The TechTool Pro 4 CD should boot the cube. Simply starting from the CD doesn't alter your drive in any way and should not effect booting from the hard drive. It can take as long as ten minutes [emphasis added] to startup. Be sure you wait long enough. That may have been what happened when it did startup from the CD--you had waited longer.
