From the Dark Side--Has M$ Finally Killed Netscape?

It appears so according to this ZDNet article. Microsoft paid AOL, the current owner of Netscape, $750 million to settle their law suit and AOL agreed to use Internet Explorer for seven years. AOL originally bought Netscape Corp. for nearly $9 billion.

The Netscape browser's "genes" will live on in the open source project Mozilla and its derivatives, at least for the time being. [Dana Baggett]
