Microsoft Settled California Suit

stemming from its conviction in federal court for illegally abusing its monopoly in personal computer operating systems according to this PC World article. California and M$ settled for $1.1 billion to be distributed in vouchers to those who bought M$ products. The vouchers are good for rebates on M$ products. Of the unclaimed funds left over, M$ will get a third and the rest will be made available for California's neediest school districts, half for any needed computer training or technology, including from Apple, and half in M$ products regardless of operating system, including the Mac OS.
