PowerLogix Announced 1.4-GHz G4 Upgrade for the G4 Cube

Running at a speed of 1.4 GHz, this new PowerLogix CPU card has twice the L2 cache (512K) of the previous 7455-based cards (256K) for additional performance. In addition, the new 7457 draws an incredible 40% less peak power than the previous chip for cool and reliable, high-performance operation. The card includes 2Mb of L3 cache This card is the fastest CPU card available for the PowerMac G4 Cube. Retail Pricing (street prices may be lower) is $599. The first production units will be shipping in approximately 1-2 weeks.
