Quicken 2004 for Mac Only $34

The G4's Altivec engine greatly improves the scores from the Altivec Fractal tests--about 10 fold. Applications that use the G4's special floating point processor should show huge improvements over the G3 CPU. The 700 MHz G4 is faster, and significantly so, on virtually all tests largely because of it's 75% increase in clock speed over the G3's. The exception is the RAM to VRAM tests (ThroughPut).
Note how fast the Let1kWindowsBloom test is (6 sec) versus the 34 seconds of the world's fastest desktop, a dual 2-GHz Power Mac G5 with an ATI 9800 Pro graphics card in its speed test. Let1kWindowsBloom times how fast it takes to open and close 1000 windows in the Finder.
The Sonnet 700 MHz G4 upgrade provided a significant speed boost to our Power Mac 7300 over the previous 400 MHz G3 upgrade. So far, in a couple day's use, we've not run into any problems. When Ryan Rempl posts a version of XPostFacto that allows the use of Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) we will post another speed test.
