47 Maine School Districts Support iBook Program Expansion to High School

in an effort to meet the rental minimum of 8400 iBooks from Apple for $300 each per according to this Maine Today article. The rental fee includes training and AirPort networking. Maine Gov. Baldacci pledged to seek state funding for the expansion to all 119 high schools in the next legislative session before the bill comes due. It looks like the minimum will be met according to the top state education official. [Dana Baggett]
