Are Fuel Cells Coming for PowerBook Batteries?

Maybe. DoCoMo and Fujitsu have developed a prototype fuel cell for cell phones that will, according to them, dramatically increase the time between charges. Fuel cells work off hydrogen and methanol and are recharged using methanol cartriges. The DoCoMo fuel cell is 152x57x16 mm and weighs just 190 grams (6.7 oz) according to the company as noted in this MobilePipeline article.
