Freeport, ME, Adds iBooks to High School

The Freeport School District added 165 iBook G4s to its inventory for its ninth graders with a $50K deal that included the iBooks, networking, software and training according to this Times Record article. Freeport is another school district that decided to spend their own funds to extend the state's program from middle school to high school without state aid. [Dana Baggett]
