Intel plans to drop support for Bluetooth and instead use the unfinished Ultrawideband standard that the IEEE working group had deadlocked over. Ultrawideband wireless runs at speeds up to the level of USB 2.0 and FireWire. Intel's implementation will likely become the defacto standard because of Intel's market clout. [Dana Baggett]
