Maine Governor's State of the State Address Confirms Plan to Extend iBooks to High School

, a plan that we were first to break last Saturday on Macs Only! Governor John Baldacci's address praised the state's iBook program as providing the "opportunity for 21st century jobs". Here is the full State of the State address. Currently, all 7th and 8th graders and their teachers get iBooks supplied by the state for classroom use, projects and homework. Due to the program's success, the Governor will propose that the program be extended to 9th graders this fall. [Dana Baggett]
