Maine has Funds for Extending iBook Program to 9th Grade
according to this Portland Press Herald article. Macs Only! was first to break the news on the extension of Maine's program to high school last Saturday. While details of Gov. Baldacci's plans call for local school district contributions, the Maine Department of Education has $28 million in leftover project funds and the iBook program is estimated to cost $22 million per grade so a majority, if not all, of the funds exist already.
