Rural Power Utilities are Getting into Broadband Internet Business

and are offering broadband internet via power lines and wireless transmissions according to this AP article on Excite. So far some 134 of 2,000 power utilities nationwide are doing it since telecommunication companies are not. Many rural residents are getting faster internet service than their city neighbors.
