Brief Hands-On Report--Apple iSync 2.1

It is available via the System Preference Software Update pane or as a standalone file from this Apple Web page. According to the ReadMe file,

iSync 2.1 supports compatibility for more devices such as the latest Motorola, Nokia, Panasonic and Sony Ericsson phones. For a complete list of supported devices, please check http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/devices.html

We downloaded and installed iSync 2.1 on various Macs (PowerBooks, Power Mac G5, iMac G5 and G4 Cubes) with no apparent problems. Installing iSync 2.1 required a restart. We then used iSync 2.1 to successfully update the contacts in our Sony-Ericsson T68i cell phone from the Address Book of one of our G4 Cubes. All went smoothly. [Bill Fox]
