Cool Mac Software--Chicken of the VNC 2.0b3 is Out

and available for download from this open source SourceForge.net Web page. If you want to remotely control another computer on a local network or across the internet, Chicken of the VNC is one of the best applications to use. We explained on this prior Macs Only! Web page how to use it (v1.3.6) along with the VNC server OSXvnc to remotely control other computers. According to SourceForge,

Chicken of the VNC is a VNC client for Mac OS X. A VNC client allows one to display and interact with a remote computer screen. In other words, you can use Chicken of the VNC to interact with a remote computer as though it's right next to you.

It worked great for us until we obtained Apple Remote Desktop 2.0 (now at v2.2) for use on our local network. Chicken of the VNC and OSXvnc are free. [Bill Fox]
