New Apple Chief Operating Officer--Tim Cook

Tim Cook has been the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Operations for Apple since 2002 and has led the Mac Division since Apple's hardware business was split in to Macs and iPods. He has now been promoted to Chief Operating Officer in what amounts to being the "President" of Apple Computer, responsible for all of Apple's business operations. Cook joined Apple in 1998 from Compaq and IBM before that. Recently, Cook has been more visible (actually audible) on Apple's quarterly financial report conference calls. More... [Bill Fox]
