Spotlight on Innovation--Focus on the Science Community
Apple holds one technical conference every year where they roll out their technology plans for the coming 12 months and make all the Apple engineers accessible. The upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference 2005, June 6-10, will focus on the latest edition of Mac OS X, i.e. "Tiger" or 10.4 and certain key communities. Science is one of those communities. The science focus will include:
- Science Lounge with special lunchtime discussion topics and speakers
- Special session on Science
- Sessions on HPC, Xgrid, and all the new features of Mac OS X "Tiger"
- Apple Design Awards: Best Scientific Computing and best Open Source applications
