Apple Posted Building a Sample Core Data Application--First of a New Tutorial Series
The Apple Developer Connection (ADC) posted the tutorial Building a Sample Core Data Application. It is the first in a new series of tutorials that combine text with QuickTime video clips to demonstrate exactly how to work with key Mac OS X Tiger technologies. This new kind of technical resource enables one to experience firsthand the powerful capabilities of development technologies such as Xcode 2, Core Data, and Cocoa bindings.
Core Data is well documented in the ADC Reference Library. It is a powerful data-management framework introduced with Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger. Taking advantage of Core Data slashes the amount of custom code needed to be written in order to manage application data. Opening, saving and undo management can all be handled by Core Data, so one can concentrate on creating unique application features. [Bill Fox]
