Mira is a shareware application that allows one to use the Apple Remote Control with many applications. It installs as a preference pane and has profiles for over 55 different applications. Mira uses the Apple Remote Control with the built-in IR receiver on recent Macs. It also works with any USB Mac running Mac OS X 10.4.x using an available USB IR receiver, the Manta TR1. Mira sells for $15.95. The demo version runs 6 applications. [Dana Baggett]
