Florence, SC, School District 1 Gets New iMacs

The School Foundation provided funding through a grant that allowed the Florence, SC, School District 1 to obtain 27 iMacs, one for each school, and 24 iPods. The purchase will enhance the students' opportunity to prepare for a future in the fields of arts, audio-visuals, technology and/or communications. The grant resulted from a proposal by Laura Greenway, the district's music coordinator, entitled The Creative Economy: Choice for Arts Centered Education in Florence School District 1.
