HELIOS' Free LanTest and File System Test for Mac OS X are Universal Applications
The new HELIOS LanTest version has built-in testing configurations for Ethernet/DSL, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet. It vigorously tests a local network's throughput and performance, as it rapidly:
- creates, opens and deletes files
- performs read/write throughput tests
- checks file locking performance
- examines print and spooling performance
- tests single- and multi-user server connections
HELIOS File System Test lets every Mac user verify, in a quick and reliable way, whether the utilized file server is in all respects compatible with Mac OS X. The HELIOS File System Test suite includes 11 different tests and is suited to examine the following Mac OS X network connections:
- Apple Filing Protocol (AFP)
- Windows SMB Protocol (SMB/CIFS)
- Network File System (NFS)
- iDisk HTTP-based Protocol (WebDAV)
