NetWare Client is designed for use on Apple computers, whether in a company or home environment, to connect Macs to a Novell Network using the IP protocol. The new features of NetWare Client are:
- Integrated login: The Mac boots with a single login prompt and the NetWare home directory appears on the desktop. This means, no need to remember multiple login passwords and to login twice each time you boot your computer.
- Contextless login: The user can login from anywhere on the net by simply providing his username and password, full context information is provided automatically.
- Printing: The NetWare Client 2.0 now supports printing to a NetWare queue (users can add jobs to Netware print queues and delete those jobs).
- Universal Binary: Works with all the latest Apple computers including the Intel Macs. Compatible with Mac OS X 10.4.2 and up.
- Completely new browser: It is now a regular application instead of a menu bar item. It automatically launches in startup if the user selects the option in login items.
NetWare Client 2.0 for the Mac OS is available for purchase online from Prosoft Engineering. Upgrade pricing and a full 30-day demo download are also available. [Bill Fox]
