Brief Hands-On Report--AirPort Base Station Update 2007-002

Apple released AirPort Base Station Update 2007-002 and it is available for download within the AirPort Utility application or via Software Update or as a stand-alone file from this Apple Web page.

According to Apple's Read Me file,

The AirPort Base Station Update 2007-002 includes general fixes and compatibility updates for the following applications:

- AirPort Utility
- AirPort Disk Utility
- AirPort Base Station Agent

AirPort Utility v5.2.1 for Mac OS X 10.4.x or later software supports the AirPort Extreme Base Station with 802.11n, AirPort Extreme Base Station and AirPort Express Base Station.

We downloaded and installed it with no problems on an iMac Core Duo and a MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo (LED) with previous version 5.1 installed. After the update and a restart, AirPort Utility showed v5.2.1. [Dana Baggett & Bill Fox]
