Mozilla released Firefox 2.0.0.6 an it is available for download via "Check for Updates" under the Help menu or as a stand-alone file from this Mozilla Web page.

Firefox 2.0.0.6 has these two security updates:

  • MFSA 2007-27 Unescaped URIs passed to external programs
  • MFSA 2007-26 Privilege escalation through chrome-loaded about:blank windows

We downloaded and installed version 2.0.0.6 via Check for Updates under the Help menu. No issues were encountered during installation nor in several hours of Web surfing. [Bill Fox]
