From the Dark Side--Gates contradicts Ballmer on Vista Sales; Ballmer threatens Linux so will Gates...?

The Frick and Frack of the technology world are at it again. After all of the Microsoft Windows Vista hype, last week CEO Steve Ballmer told analysts that their forecasts of Vista sales are "overly aggressive" and to expect more moderate sales. Then this week, when asked if Microsoft should be cautious about Vista sales, Cofounder Bill Gates replied, "I don't know what you mean. Vista's had an incredible reception." Apparently, Frick and Frack don't talk much anymore.

Also this week, Ballmer again threatened to sue Linux sellers by stating to analysts that open source "is not free." So, if asked about Linux threats next week, we wonder if Gates will say, "I don't know what you mean. Linux is great. Didn't we just enter into a partnership with Novell to distribute it?"
