Hands-On Report--MacBook MacBook Pro Software Update 1.1 Installation and Use
This update addresses a responsiveness issue on MacBook and MacBook Pro notebook computers. Some MacBook and MacBook Pro systems may occasionally experience a temporary suspension of keyboard input which can last a minute or longer. The Mac OS X 10.5.1 update is required before installing the MacBook, MacBook Pro Software Update 1.1.
We have never experienced this exact problem with our MacBook Pro nor our MacBook-based Mac mini. We have had problems with original Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboards not working in text fields of certain applications on our MacBook Pro and Mac mini--a relaunch of the application always fixes this. We have also had a problem with our aluminum Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard not allowing our MacBook Pro to remain asleep.
We downloaded and installed the update on our MacBook Pro with no problem--doing so required a restart. Unfortunately, both problems still exist. [Bill Fox]
