GoMac 1.31 and CompuServe CS 3.0

I have a conflict between GoMac 1.31 and CompuServe CS 3.0 running Mac OS 8 on my PowerBase 180. When launching CS 3.0 with GoMac enabled, I get a nonsensical error message saying that I need a 640x480 pixel monitor with 256 colors. Of course, I'm using one. Disabling GoMac 1.31 eliminates the problem. Reader David Ahn points out that this issue is resolved by selecting Auto hide. This workaround is addressed in the last paragraph of version 1.3 in the Version History file. The selection may be made in the control panel or with a command-click on the task bar. Remember that the Auto hide selection must be made before CS 3.0 is launched or you'll get the error message. However, using Auto hide creates an issue with VirtualPC, which I use. With a little extra effort, you can have the useful features of GoMac, CS3.0 and VirtualPC. This issue also applies to many games or other applications that use the full screen.
