Apple released 1.2 GB Firmware Utility 1.1. This firmware update fixes the problem of a flashing "?" in a diskette icon on a restart or at startup for some Macs and clones that have an early 1.2G IDE (ATA) hard drive using firmware version 1.37 or lower. This firmware update or the recently-released Drive Setup 1.3.1 should fix the two main causes of the flashing "?" problem. Macs Only! has been following this issue since the February release of Mac OS 7.6.
