Earlier this week I decided to increase my PowerBase 180's speed by exchanging my stock 256K L2 cache for a 512K module from The Chip Merchant for $90. It arrived today and is manufactured by IDT. I have Motorola's LibMoto installed and here are the MacBench 4.0 results:
256K Cache: CPU=282, FPU=342I got a 14% increase in processor speed and a 5% increase in floating point (math) speed with the increased cache. Was it worth it...?
512K Cache: CPU=321, FPU=360
