Mega RAM Loss Update

Mega RAM Loss Update: I continue to get email from people who experience a mega RAM loss associated with Open Transport v1.2 in Mac OS 8 that confirms that the issue is not confined to Alchemy motherboard Macs (5400, 6360, 6400, PowerBases and C500s) as it is with my computers. The latest email fingers the 7300 as also experiencing a major RAM loss after using just Netscape or when using AOL's browser or Netscape while on AOL. I also continue to get email that confirms the issue is not just related to OT. One further observation is that my Quadra 605 occasionally appears to get the mega RAM loss until I close all applications and then RAM as measured by "About This Computer" is restored. I have bundled this information off to Apple with the hope that the issue will be addressed.
