On the Blinking "?" at Startup

I am not going to over-worry about this any more. NEWS.COM has an excellent compendium on the subject. Apple's press release announces the 8600/250, a Mach 5 604e CPU at $3200, the Gossamer Macs are on the horizon as is the NeXT OS, Rhapsody. I enjoy using my Macs (including the PowerBase) and intend to do so for the forseeable future. On the Blinking "?" at Startup Reader David Schwab wrote that his problem on a PowerCenter 150 was solved by reformatting his hard drive with CharisMac Anubis, eliminating FWB's drivers. He also had problems with his CD Drive and switched from FWB CD-ROM ToolKit to Apple's CD-ROM v 5.3.1 (the version that came with Mac OS 7.6) to fix it. My internal HD is an IDE formatted with Apple's drivers, not FWB, so it's not a problem with FWB on my PowerBase.
