Reader Dana Baggett wrote me that "... Paperport 5.0 is out. I received a flyer in the US mail (!) and placed an order with a Visioneer rep at 11:00 PM EDT Friday night 5/30. $79.95 + $8. ship chg. Bundled with it are Xerox TextBridge OCR, PictureWorks PhotoEnhancer and Connectix QuickCards LE. News of availability was to have been posted on the Visioneer website today but the rep said 'We fell a little behind.' News is expected to be posted there tomorrow." He futher reports that Visioneer (1-800-358-3298) plans to ship the new software on 6/2--a CD or diskettes are available. Thanks, Dana!
