PowerMac G3-233

From reader Dean Cleary who just bought a PowerMac G3-233 to replace his PowerComputing PowerBase 180: "My G3 233 is running very well. All of my apps are running like they did on my PowerBase 180 only faster. Installing programs is so fast ... the machine is at least 50% quieter, I can hardly hear the fan. The CD ROM is kind of wizzy though and sounds like it's got rocks in the gears when it opens and closes. The only problem I've had was after the machine sat idle for awhile I lost my sub menus in my Apple menu--trashing the finder prefs fixed that problem."
