Font Manager Update v1.0

for Mac OS 8.6 was posted by Apple for download (312 KB .bin). This update fixes a problem that can corrupt fonts and includes a Font First Aid utility for fixing files that have been corrupted. Lon Hutchison noted some unusual installation behavior, "The darnedest thing happened when I dropped the Font Manager Update extension onto my System Folder, about 10-15 seconds later my Mac automatically restarted AND it deleted the Alsoft font fixer extension.... I read the README that came with the Apple Font Manager Update but did not notice any mention of this auto-restart." [Font First Aid found and fixed two files on my iMac and 2400c and six on my B&W G3 and 9600.--Bill]
