Getting Mac OS 9--Chapter 3?

More bizarre postings on Apple's Mac OS Up-To-Date program. Right after Macs Only! posted Chapter 2 on Saturday, MacInTouch updated its item on this issue by stating that an Apple Support rep on Apple's Tech Exchange claimed that the Mac OS Up-To-Date program was back but more expensive and posted a quote by the rep from the TE forum. When I checked the cited Tech Exchange URL it gave a 500 Error and the document had already been removed. Then the same quoted text appeared on MacNN a short time later. Postings on the G4 list indicate that a Mac OS Up-To-Date certificate was included with the G4's that people have received. So what's the real story? For now I'm going to believe Macwelt's interview quote of Apple VP Phil Schiller that Apple is considering upgrade pricing.
