Hands-On Report--Outlook Express v5.0

I have not come across any bugs/problems so far. A number of difficulties are listed on other sites but all that I've read seem to be due to people not yet discovering how to use the new version for things that they've done with the previous version. There are, however, two things that I find annoying. First, it took significantly in excess of 3 hours to import my mail and address files from OE 4.5. I don't know how much in excess because I did it over night. Second, I really like OE 4.5's dialog boxes for receiving and sending email. They tell how many emails there are by account, their size and receive/send progress. There is also a button that allows easy cancellation if communication problems are encountered. OE 5.0 has a spinning arrow showing its working to get or send email on the bottom of the main window but that's basically it unless the progress feature is not automatic and somewhere that I haven't yet looked. [Update: Several readers pointed out that the "Progress" selection under the "Windows" menu produces dialog boxes nearly the same as those in IE 4.5, many thanks.--Bill]

OE 5 is much faster than OE 4.5 in most operations. I really like the reply note that is automatically appended to a replied-to email which includes a link to the reply itself.
