Important Quicken Update

Yesterday I received a free cd-rom from Intuit. It was Quicken 2000! At first I was shocked because I am using Quicken 98, and did not update to Quicken 2000 as of yet.

This is a special, updated version of Quicken 2000 which is compatible with the Internet services Intuit is switching too. This software must be installed by December 1, 1999. If not, you'll lose the ability to download credit card transactions from the Quicken website.

Unfortunately, Intuit sent me a Windows 95/98/NT cd-rom. I called the support number at 1-877-888-5129. A representative told me that Intuit had accidentally shipped duplicates and that I should receive the Macintosh version within a day. Otherwise I would have to download it off the Quicken web site.

When asked what I should do if I don't get the correct cd-rom, the rep told me they will not send out another. The only option would be to download. I believe I found it here. However you must already have Quicken 2000 to install it."
