Mercury CPU ZIF Problem In CarrierZIF Card

From a copy of a note sent OWC by Frank Connelly, "My order consisted of the XGZIF XLR8 carrier card and the OWC Mercury ZA 350Mhz ZIF CPU, packaged as a bundle. The XLR8 manual indicates that there should be jumper pins on the CPU. That's when I realized that the 350 Mhz CPU isn't an XLR8 product. But I went ahead with the installation anyway. I can't get the system to boot. I have pulled the original L2 cache out of my computer. I have also tried slower settings on the dip switches on the Carrier Card. I've also turned off all of my extensions. It still won't boot. I am using a Power Computing Power Base 180Mhz 603e. This is identical to the machine used by Bill Fox in his review of the XLR8 ZIF carrier card with a XLR8 366 G3 ZIF CPU."
