Sears Stepped Up

to bat over the Memorial Day weekend. According to a number of readers, their local Sears did have iMacs and Apple Reps available. However, Sears has some 2000 stores and only 845 or so of the larger stores will carry iMacs. Chris Adamson wrote that the sales force in Atlanta (Kennesaw) mentioned that most stores will carry blueberry with the other colors available by special order. They thought they'd be getting the Epson 740i printer later on. Bob Patterson pointed out that the stores are listed on MarketSource's Apple Detailing web site. Almost everyone reported that the asking price is $1299, $100 over MSRP, but the Jensen Beach, FL , Sears had them for $1239. As Dana Baggett pointed out, these higher prices may be short lived as Sears likes to advertise sale prices and it can only do so if it is a true sale price, i.e. the $1299 becoming $1199.
