Solution--AirPort & Mac OS 9 AppleShare Client Issue

Mick Blackledge wrote me that using the Chooser he could see other computers on his network except those upstream across the AirPort connection. I wrote back that I did not have this problem. However, when I set up my daughter's iBook with Mac OS 9 on Saturday, the same thing happened. To make a long and frustrating story short, Mac OS 9 installs the AppleShare Client v3.8.5 extension so I downloaded and installed v3.8.6 and that solved the problem. In so far as I know, this is an undocumented issue and fix. The v3.8.6 ReadMe doesn't mention it.
