$699 iBook--Best Weekend Deal at Circuit City?

We previously noted that Circuit City had a $100 rebate on 'notebooks'. The best deal in our mail was obtained by Fred Kinder, "I went with a friend to Circuit City (Plano, Texas) Friday evening (11/24) to purchase an (outdated) iBook 300mHz 6G blueberry demo. The demo iBook was initially marked $899, but the salesperson stated the price was reduced to $799 and he threw in a Targus laptop case with the deal. When the sales invoice was printed, my friend also received a $100 Circuit City mail-in rebate for a net sales price of $699. Not a bad deal."
