Apple posted a TIL on this issue. An exerpt, "This only affects Macintosh computers with built-in USB (these computers are capable of digital audio CD playback). To avoid this situation, turn virtual memory off or upgrade the physical RAM on the computer so virtual memory page faults do not occur as often." [Scott Smith]
