Cut Spam? Revisited

Yesterday we posted the URL of the Direct Marketing Association's e-Mail Preference Service. They promise a reduction in unwanted commercial advertising as a result. Does it work? Maybe not. From Jim Carr, "They are the spammers! Or at least their friends. [Here's] an experiment where Jerry [Pournelle] set up an address, used it for nothing else but registered it with DMA for no spam. And got spammed."
