Follow Up--USB 2.0 to Challenge FireWire?

Karl Groeger wrote "You might want to check out this article regarding USB 2.0. This new spec is going to be in testing for a long time and is years away from actual reality. Even the current USB spec still causes problems for lots of users." USB is currently 12 Megabits per second (Mbps) while FireWire is 400 Mbps. USB 2.0 will jump to 480 Mbps but FireWire is headed to 800 and 1,600 Mbps in the near future. It seems that USB will continue to be the slower communication standard.
