Follow Up--USB 2.0 to Challenge FireWire?

of users." USB is currently 12 Megabits per second (Mbps) while FireWire is 400 Mbps. USB 2.0 will jump to 480 Mbps but FireWire is headed to 800 and 1,600 Mbps in the near future. It seems that USB will continue to be the slower communication standard.
