IBM To Produce PowerPC Screamer

according to the New York Times. From Jamie Bartels, "I.B.M said it would apply the new manufacturing process to a wide variety of chips. These will include microprocessors like the PowerPC chip used by Apple Computer. 'The PowerPC will scream,' Mr. Hutcheson, the analyst said. 'You will have really fast Macintosh computers." Here is a MacWEEK article citing IBM stating that the chips will be 30 per cent faster with the 13 micron process.
