iMac and Stephen King on Time Cover
From Dana Baggett, "The iMac is on the cover of this week's TIME magazine (3/22/2000) with the iMac logo covered by Maine writer Stephen King's hand. But it is unmistakable. The cover story this week is "The New Digital Democracy." More explicit is a photo on page 73 of an Apple iMac DV SE graphite model with a $1,499 price tag attached. The on line edition carries the full text of the cover story and some words of wisdom about what computer to get." Ken White adds, "The story features a segment on how ePublishing is a success. He was able to get 500,000 readers to go on line and down load his new book (see yesterday's note), even though the reader was not Mac compatible, which is mentioned in the story. His anticipated revenue for this short story is $450K."
