according to this INFORMATIONWEEK article. Steve Jobs told the crowd of Java developers at JavaOne that Mac OS X's Java 2 Standard Edition will have a Mac-optimized port of the HotSpot virtual machine and an optimized version of the "Swing" elements for Mac OS X's Aqua interface. Mac OS X's Java capability was demoed at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference last month. [Dana Baggett]
