Motorola Screwing IBM, Apple and You?

Well, the rumor that Motorola is keeping IBM from producing and selling G4s faster than 500 MHz to Apple is being mongered all over Mac web sites, including even MacWEEK. I thrive on conspiracy theories and corporate intrigue so I hope this rumor is true. If true, it also means that faster G4s can be available soon which is good. Of course, if I had to bet on it I wouldn't lay down very much. I'll wait to read about it in a future update to Owen Linzmayer's Apple Confidential.
