Apple is Doing Well with FireWire

according to this News.Com article. Apple received an Emmy for it as we noted in last Thursday's edition. FireWire's speed is 400 mb/s and it has replaced the SCSI port as Apple's high speed port as we all know. USB 2.0 is coming along at 480 mb/s but FireWire 1394.b will soon double FireWire's speed to 800 mb/s. Virtually all PCs and digital devices will be using FireWire technology in the near future providing Apple and its partners with a substantial revenue stream. [Dana Baggett]
